Link Building is a very crucial strategy for a website.
Links are one of the factors that Google looks for on a website
to determine its importance or popularity. The more links
you have on your website, the more influence you will have
with Google when they assign your website a search engine
ranking.
There are two different types of links that are used in
Link Building. The first one is called Backlinks and the definition,
according to wikipedia, is: Backlinks are incoming links to
a website or web page. In basic link terminology, a backlink
is any link received by a web node (web page, directory, website,
or top level domain) from another web node. Backlinks are
also called incoming links, inbound links, inlinks, and inward
links.
The other type of link is called Reciprocal Links and is
defined as: A reciprocal link is a mutual link between two
objects, commonly between two websites in order to ensure
mutual traffic. Here is an example of a reciprocal link: Acme’s
Detective Service and Mystery Inc. have websites. Mystery
Inc. places a simple text link on their website referring
to Acme’s Detective Service website. Acme’s Detective
Service also places a link referring to Mystery Inc. Both
websites are now pointing to each other creating a mutual
advertising bond.
Here at Web Managing Solutions we implement 5 different
techniques to generate quality backlinks with other websites.
We emphasize quality because it is known that bad links can
be destructive to your website.

articles to directories and other websites that are inside
your niche or type of business.
- Blogs ~ Short entries or
stories about events that happened to your website (kind
of like a diary).

or writings posted on your website on a regular basis.
- Directories ~ List or submit
your URL (website address) to special listing websites for
better coverage over the internet.
- Link Exchanges ~ Find and
create reciprocal links with other websites inside your
niche or type of business.
