Diamond Valley Lake |
Diamond Valley Lake is 4,500-acres and 2 miles wide by 4.5 miles long, 160 to 260 feet deep. Diamond Valley Lake is the largest body of fresh water in Southern California. You can catch largemouth and small mouth bass, red ear sunfish, bluegill, blue and channel catfish, tule perch and rainbow trout. This lake has already produced bass over the 10lbs rang. It’s only been open 1 year. |
San Vicente Reservoir |
San Vicente is one of the larger lakes in the San Diego county, a deep clear water lake. Trout are stocked during the winter; the lake also has Volkswagen sized Catfish (101 lb. state record), 3 lb. Bluegill, Redear Sunfish and Black Crappie, and Largemouth bass. |
El Capitan Reservoir |

Lake Hodges |
Lake Hodges is known nationally for its largemouth bass population. This lake is one of the few ever to produce a 20 lb class largemouth without a trout stock. The lake record is 20 lbs 4 oz. Hodges also provides great fishing for crappie. The lake record crappie is 3 lbs 3 ozs. |
Lake Otay Reservoir |
Home of the San Diego Olympic training center and one of the counties oldest lake. Lower Otay is one of the long-standing premiere bass fisheries on the west coast that has made a name for itself through its long history. The lake is equally matched with quality and quantity bass fishing. This bass lake has old dead trees sticking out of the water and under water rock piles. Otay also has HUGE catfish. Until the recent of 101 lb. caught at San Vicente, Lower Otay held the state record for Blue Catfish at 85 lbs. 9 ozs. |
